AMC+’s Cold War Thriller

Spy City, a six-episode cold war thriller, unveils its premiere episode tomorrow, April 15, on AMC+.

Subsequent episodes will drop Thursdays through May 20.

It’s 1961, and the Russians are privy to vital Western secrets. Preacher’s Dominic Cooper is English spy Fielding Scott, sent to Berlin to discover, arrest or eliminate the traitor responsible for the security leaks.

The cast includes Romane Portail, Leonie Benesch, Ben Münchow, Johanna Wokalek, Seumas Sargent and Brian Caspe.

German Portuguese filmmaker Miguel Alexandre directed the series, which was written by novelist and screenwriter William Boyd.

Cooper is also an executive producer.

AMC+, which shows ad-free programming from AMC, Shudder, Sundance Now, IFC Films Unlimited and other sources, costs $8.99 a month with a seven-day free trial. You can subscribe via Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Roku, Sling TV, and some cable and dish providers.
