Loren Film + Bonus Content

Even if you’ve already seen The Life Ahead on Netflix, you may want to pay $15 to stream it again this Thursday – since it will be preceded by a discussion with star Sophia Loren herself.

The legendary Italian actress, who will be presented with the 2021 KCET Cinema Series Lumière Award, will be joined in her Switzerland home by her son Edoardo Ponti, who directed the film. Pete Hammond, Deadline’s film critic, will host.

In The Life Ahead, Loren – who won her only acting Oscar 60 years ago for the mother-child World War II survival film Two Women — plays a Holocaust survivor and former sex worker who begrudgingly takes in a wayward Senegalese street kid.
