Ash Williams himself — Bruce Campbell, who starred in and executive produced The Evil Dead —will provide live commentary during a watch party of the 1981 cult horror classic this Saturday, January 23, at 9 pm ET.
Tickets, which start at $25, can be purchased at WatchWithBruce.com.
If you just want to watch The Evil Dead without hearing Campbell share “memories, behind the scenes stories [and] anecdotes from the film,” you can stream it free from Plex or Tubi.
The Evil Dead spawned sequels in 1987 and 1992 — Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness ; a 2013 reboot, Evil Dead; and a 2015-2018 Starz series, Ash vs. Evil Dead. Campbell played Williams facing off against the Deadites in all the entries, including the reboot, where he had a cameo.
Evil Dead II can be seen by Amazon Prime and IndeiFlix subscribers. Or you can rent it for as low as $1.99, from Redbox.
Army of Darkness can be seen by Amazon Prime or Hulu subscribers via their Cinemax add-on subscription options. Or you can rent the film for $3.99 from various providers.
All three 10-episode seasons of Ash vs. Evil Dead can now be seen on Netflix as well as Starz.
