Two series featuring dogs debut on streamers this Thursday, September 24: Haute Dog on HBO Max and My Dog & I on Sling TV’s Eurochannel.

Haute Dog

In each episode of HBO Max’s competition series Haute Dog, three dog groomers face off against each other for a $10,000 prize.

The six-episode series is hosted by Matt Rogers (Las Culturistas podcast), and judged by Robin Thede (HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show) and Jess Rona, author of the coffee table book Groomed.

HBO Max subscribers can also stream last year’s Well Groomed, which follows a group of champion dog groomers for a year on their very colorful competition circuit.

My Dog and I

In Eurochannel’s four-episode romantic drama My Dog & I (aka Year of the Dog and Gerda, My Friend), a woman turns to her 185-pound Leonberger dog for companionship after her husband throws her out of the house for another woman. The Ukrainian series is in Russian with English subtitles,.

Episodes one and two will debut this Thursday at 9 pm ET, and the final two episodes the following Thursday, October 1.
