The Sleepless, a 77-minute black-and-white romantic drama shot largely on the empty streets of pre-dawn New York City, will premiere this Monday, August 24, as the featured final presentation of the virtual Big Apple Film Festival.

For just $10 at Eventbrite for an all-day ticket, you can stream The Sleepless, plus 36 short films, six Q&As and two film industry conferences.

In The Sleepless, chronic insomniacs Sophia (executive producer Rebecca De Ornelas) and Zach (Nyambi Nyambi, Jay Dipersia in The Good Fight, Samuel in Mike and Molly) wander those NYC pre-dawn streets on an impromptu first date.

The Sleepless was written, directed and produced by  Michael DiBiasio, who has previously helmed five short films and two other features (The Videoblogs, Sex and Justice), most of which have also starred and been exec-produced by his wife, De Ornelas.
