Free ‘Sounds of Summer’

Free streamer Crackle today launched a “Sounds of Summer Channel” featuring music documentaries and concert films. You can find it by scrolling down at Crackle.com, or on the Crackle app for iOS, Android, Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, smart TVs and gaming consoles.

Crackle’s “Sounds of Summer Channel” currently includes nine films:

Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012)

Lady Gaga’s Secret World (2012)

Grease 2 (1982), a sequel to the 1978 classic without John Travolta and Olivia Newton, but with Michelle Pfeiffer, Maxwell Caulfield and Lorna Luft

Grease Live!, Crackle

Grease Live! (2016), the Fox TV remake, all about Danny, Sandy, Rizzo and Rydell High, this time starring Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit and Vanessa Hudgens

American Rap Stars (2002), featuring Snoop Dogg, Run DMC, Russell Simmons, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Onyx, Jermaine Dupri, Jamie Foxx, Kweli and Cedric the Entertainer

Neil Young: Heart of Gold (2006), a concert film directed by Jonathan Demme

American Hardcore (2006), a history of American punk rock from 1980 to 1986

Liam Gallagher: As It Was (2019), about the lead singer for Oasis

Yelawolf: A Slumerican Life, a 10-episode seres where you can go on tour with southern hip-hop pioneer Yelawolf into “the gritty and vibrant ‘Slumerican’ subculture that shaped him”
