Two series – 13 Reasons Why and Queer Eye – debut new seasons on Netflix today, June 5.  They are joined by a new action film, The Last Days of American Crime, starring Boardwalk Empire’s Michael Pitt.

13 Reasons Why

The young adult drama 13 Reasons Why, based on Jay Asher’s best-selling book, returns for a fourth and final 10-episode season.

The first season told the story of Clay (Dylan Minnette) coping with audio tapes in which his former crush Hannah (Katherine Langford) explains why she took her own life. In July 2019, Netflix altered the graphic suicide scene in the season one finale.

Season four finds Liberty High School’s seniors preparing for graduation in the shadow of football player Bryce’s (Justin Prentice) death. Can the friends “keep a dangerous secret buried,” while embarking on their post-high-school lives?

The cast includes Alisha Boe, Brandon Flynn, Miles Heizer, Grace Saif, Christian Navarro, Ross Butler, Devin Druid, Timothy Granaderos and Anne Winters.

You can also buy individual episodes from the first two seasons starting at $1.99 via Vudu or other providers.

Queer Eye

In the 10-episode fifth season of this reality series, the “Fab Five” visit Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, giving life-affirming makeovers to individuals who are adrift, both inside and out. The rescue team includes Bobby Berk (interior design), Karamo Brown (culture), Tan France (fashion), Antoni Porowski (food and wine) and Jonathan Van Ness (grooming).

The Last Days of American Crime

In this 148-minute action thriller, Graham Bricke (Edgar Ramírez), Kevin Cash (Michael C. Pitt) and Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster) hope to pull-off the crime of the century before the US government broadcasts a signal that makes it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.

The Last Days of American Crime is based on a 2009 graphic novel by Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini.
