Live Classic TV Reunions

Live virtual cast reunions of China Beach and Dallas are on tap for tomorrow and Friday at 8 pm ET over Stars in the House, an ambitious twice-daily talk show streaming on YouTube to benefit The Actors Fund.

China Beach and Dallas both ended in 1991, the Vietnam War medical drama after four seasons and 62 episodes on ABC and the soap opera after 14 seasons and 357 episodes on CBS.

Dana Delany (left) won two Best Actress Emmys for her portrayal of Colleen McMurphy, a war-weary nurse in a Vietnam field hospital, with Marg Helgenberger garnering a Supporting Actress win for her turn as part-time prostitute and hospital volunteer KC Koloski. China Beach also won a Golden Globe for Best Drama Series.

Tomorrow’s China Beach reunion will include Delany, Helgenberger, and their ensemble cast co-stars Michael Boatman, Nancy Giles, Jeff Kober, Robert Picardo, Concetta Tomei and Chloe Webb.

If you want to binge China Beach, you can find all episodes free on Dailymotion.

The sprawling tale of the oil-rich, cattle-ranching Ewing family starred the late Larry Hagman as scheming J.R. Ewing and the late Barbara Bel Geddes as family matriarch Miss Ellie (for which she won a Best Actress Emmy) heading up a large, ever-evolving ensemble cast.

Friday’s Dallas reunion will include including Patrick Duffy (J.R.’s brother Bobby), Linda Gray (J.R. wife Sue Ellen, pictured above), Charlene Tilton (J.R.’s niece Lucy) and Steve Kanaly (ranch foreman Ray).

If you want to binge Dallas, you can stream the series free on IMDb TV. You can also buy complete seasons starting at $15.99 (individual episodes are $1.99) from Google Play and other providers.
