Pushing Up Daisies Again

Anna Friel (a Golden Globe nominee for ABC’s Pushing Daisies) stars in What to do When Someone Dies, a three-episode mystery debuting today, February 24, on subscription streamer Acorn TV.

Friel plays a schoolteacher trying to get pregnant. Her husband (Marc Warren) dies in a car accident – which also kills a woman sitting beside him in the passenger seat. She sets out to learn who the woman was, if she was having an affair with the husband, and if the accident was actually murder.

What to Do When Someone Dies is based on a 2009 novel of the same title by Nicci French, but was originally titled Without You when the three hour-long episodes ran in the UK starting nine years ago.

Acorn TV costs $5.99 monthly, with a seven-day free trial. For more info, visit acorn.tv. Or Amazon Prime subscribers can get an Acorn TV add-on channel for $4.99 monthly, also with a seven-day free trial.

  1. We very much enjoyed this series and have become fans of Acorn. We would like to see more shows like this and love the performances of all the actors – especially Anna Friel and the man who played the lead investigator. We have seen them both before and would love to know more about him, especially. I am having difficulty finding his name online. He was also great in another series where he played a coroner with a quirky sense of humor.
