Ryan O’Neal, an Oscar nominee for Love Story nearly 50 years ago, plays himself in My Best Friend’s Famous, a comedy about a struggling actor (Nick Psinakis) whose less talented BFF (Darryl Gudmundson) lands a starring role on a hit TV show. Can the friendship endure?

My Best Friend’s Famous has just debuted on Amazon, “free” for Prime subscribers or $1.99 for non-subscribers.

The indie film also stars Mindy Sterling, Brady Matthews, David Ross Paterson, Anne Akhila, Alexandra Case and Domenique Fragale. It was directed and co-written by Kevin Ignatius.
