The Vertical Line, debuting today on subscription streamer MHz Choice, finds humor amidst the drama of a cancer patient’s hospitalization.

The eight-episode subtitled series, which originally ran last year in Italy, was written and directed by Mattia Torre, based on his autobiographical book of the same title. Torre passed away this past July at the age of 47.
