Over-the-air channel Escape, which launched five years ago as a female-targeted channel with mystery movies and true crime series, will be renamed Court TV Mystery this Monday, September 30.

The current lineup includes such shows as The First 48Forensic Files, American Greed, FBI Files, Crime Watch Daily and Unsolved Mysteries.

Both Escape and the recently resurrected Court TV are run by Katz Networks, along with black-targeted Bounce and Brown Sugar, male-targeted Grit, and comedy channel Laff.

“We have begun producing true-crime docuseries and documentaries for Court TV, drawing from the nearly 100,000 hours of footage in the original network library. This compelling content will premiere on Court TV then have a home on Court TV Mystery,” said Jonathan Katz, president and CEO of Katz Networks.

You can watch Escape/Court TV Mystery over the air with an antenna hooked up to your TV set. To find your local channel number, visit, although we suspect the URL will be changing next week.
