The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, a 10-episode prequel to the events of Jim Henson’s 1982 puppet epic, The Dark Crystal, debuts today on Netflix.

In Age of Resistance, three Gelflings—Rian, Brea and Deet—inspire a rebellion against the evil Skeksis, who have corrupted The Crystal of Truth, the source of power for the world of Thra.

The film features an all-star cast of voices: Kingsman’s Taron Egerton and Mark Strong; Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer, Nathalie Emmanuel, Lena Headey, Hannah John-Kamen and Ralph Ineson; The King’s Speech’s Helena Bonham Carter; Star Wars’ Mark Hamill; Torch Song Trilogy’s Harvey Fierstein; Crazy Rich Asians’ Awkwafina; comedian Keegan-Michael Key; Mission Impossible’s Simon Pegg; and Brooklyn Nine Nine’s Andy Samberg, among others.

The 1982 film, directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz, Jen (Stephen Garlick), the last survivor of the Gelflings, searches for a shard of the dark crystal in order to repair it, thereby restoring peace to the world.
