The Best of Enemies, a drama based on the remarkable true story of a civil rights activist and a KKK leader who became friends over the issue of school desegregation, is now available to stream from Amazon and Vudu.

Ann Atwater (Hidden Figures’ Taraji P. Henson) and local Klan leader C.P. Ellis (Vice’s Sam Rockwell) co-chair a community summit dealing with the desegregation of schools in Durham, NC during the turbulent summer of 1971. The real Ellis eventually renounced the Klan, becoming a supporter of the civil rights movement and a union organizer. Atwater dedicated her career to community organizing.

The cast also includes Eye in the Sky’s Babou Ceesay, Chicago PD’s Anne Heche, American Horror Story’s Wes Bentley, The Shape of Water’s Nick Searcy and Lincoln’s Bruce McGill.

Robin Bissell wrote and directed.

You can buy The Best of Enemies starting at $12.99 from Amazon or Vudu.
