A Danish con woman, out to avenge her father’s death by a crime kingpin, is forced to flee Denmark for New Zealand, leaving her mother and daughter behind as targets. She must now find a way to save them from far, far away.

So goes the plot of Straight Forward, the first-ever Danish/Kiwi co-production, which dropped this morning on co-producer number three, Acorn TV.

The eight-episode thriller, in Danish and English, was filmed in both Copenhagen and Queenstown — “ bringing together New Zealand’s stunning scenery with Scandinavia’s reputation for crime-noir,” according to Television New Zealand.

Straight Forward stars Cecilie Stenspil as the the con woman and Mark Mitchinson as the crime boss.

All episodes are available now on Acorn TV, which has a seven-day free trial, followed by a cost of $4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually. For more info, visit
