A decade after its demise on CBS, The Unit will again be available over the air starting Monday, April 1– when GetTV starts running two hour-long episodes of the drama every weekday at 10 am.

Starring Dennis Haysbert and Regina Taylor, The Unit originally ran for 69 episodes over four seasons from 2006 to 2009. The series also features a pre-Scandal, pre-Whiskey Cavalier Scott Foley, as well as Max Martini, Michael Irby, Robert Patrick and Abby Brammell.

Termed a “combination of action procedural and nighttime soap” by GetTV, The Unit was created by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and screenwriter David Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross, The Verdict) and was based on Eric L Haney’s book, Inside Delta Force: The Story of America’s Elite Counterterrorist Unit.

The Unit is also available now, without GetTV’s commercials, on both Amazon Prime and Hulu.

Unlike those services, however, GetTV is free. You can get it by hooking an antenna up to your TV set and finding your local station at “Get the Channel.”
