What if Mrs. Maisel, rather than becoming a comedian in New York City clubs, found her destiny by opening a bossa nova club in Rio de Janeiro?

You might have the story of Malu (Maria Casadevall) in Netflix’s Most Beautiful Thing, a seven-episode Brazilian drama premiering this Friday, March 22.

It’s 1959, and rich Malu arrives in Rio to open a restaurant with her husband. But he’s deserted her — and taken all her money. With the new sounds of bossa nova filling the streets, Maria meets up with a musician (Leandro Lima) and starts building a new life.
