BYUtv Shows Off Four

Free family-targeted streamer BYUtv next week will debut four weekly series: an adventure comedy, a musical improv comedy, a cooking competition, and a game show.

Monday, March 18

8 pm ET/PT: Show Offs. Each week, the cast, celebrity guest and live band perform an improvised play or musical prompted by ideas from the audience. Hosted by Casey Jost, BYUtv has already renewed the 12-episode, half-hour series for two more seasons. The first season’s guests will include NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu and Lucas Grabe.

9:30 pm: Dwight in Shining Armor.In this show, dubbed “Middle Ages Meets Middle America, a modern teen (Morgan Siegel) falls into an ancient, underground chamber, “lands lip-to-lip” with a gothic princess (Caitlin Carmichael ) who has been sleeping for a thousand years, and awakens her with a kiss. BYUtv has already renewed the half-hour series for a second season.

Wednesday, March 20

8:30 pm: Battle of the Ages. Two multi-generational family teams compete against each other in mental and physical challenges. The half-hour series comes from Bill’s Market & Television Productions (Ellen’s Game of Games, Fear Factor).

9 pm: Dinner Takes All. Two teams of five family members compete to cook their “best Sunday dinner” – an entrée, three side dishes and a dessert – in this hour-long series hosted by celebrity chef Kelsey Nixon. Winning families receive $10,000.
