In the aftermath of World War II, one German family splits apart and another struggles to come together in a pair of two-part dramas debuting today on subscription streamer MHz Choice.

Rivals Forever tells the true story of brother shoemakers Adi and Rudi Dassler whose bitter feelings toward each other leads to the creation of two separate sneaker companies, Adidas and Puma.

Redemption Road, loosely based on another true story, tells the tale of a Jewish judge married to a Christian woman. During the war, their young children are sent to England, his wife stays in Germany, and he escapes to Cuba. After the war, he attempts to reunite with his family while seeking justice and restitution.

The two mini-series, shown on MHz Choice with English subtitles, premiered in Germany in 2017 under the titles Die Dasslers  and Landgericht.

MHZ Choice costs $7.99 monthly after a 30-day free trial. But you can get 50% off your first month by using the promo code NEWYEAR19. To subscribe, or for more info, visit mhzchoice.com.
