We thought “The City That Never Sleeps” was New York. But we’ve never been to Moscow!

Billed as the first Irish/Russian co-production filmed in Russia, Moscow Never Sleeps is a sexy drama about the connecting lives of five Muscovites: “an entrepreneur whose business empire is under siege, a teenage girl trying to escape her life, a young man forced to choose between love and family, a singer torn apart by her love for two different men, and an ailing film star embroiled in a bizarre kidnapping gone wrong.”

The film, in Russian with English subtitles, debuted this morning for $5.99 on FandangoNow and Vudu.

Moscow Never Sleeps was written and directed by Ireland’s Johnny O’Reilly, and features a cast of Russian actors, several with international experience: Lyubov Aksyonova (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan) Yuriy Stoyanov, Evgeni Brik (The Romanoffs), Aleksey Serebryakov (McMafia) and Mikhail Efremov.
