Season three of The Expanse, a science fiction series in which rival human factions fight for control of the solar system, will touch down on Amazon Prime this Friday, February 8.

Based on novels by James S. A. Corey, The Expanse is set hundreds of years in the future, when the United Nations controls Earth and an independent military power inhabits Mars. Air and water are scarce, pushing Earth and Mars to the brink of war over resources found in the Asteroid Belt.

The Expanse stars The Punisher’s Thomas Jane, Star Trek: Beyond’s Shohreh Asgdashloo, The Covenant’s Steve Strait, Fantastic Beasts’ Dominique Tipper and The Hunger Games’ Wes Chatam.

The first three seasons first ran on SyFy, which cancelled the series in May 2018. Amazon picked it up for a fourth season, planned for 2019.

The series won a Hugo Award in 2017.

You can stream the first two seasons now with an Amazon Prime subscription. Individual episodes from all three seasons are available to rent from $1.99 on Amazon, FandangoNow and other providers.
