Comedy Central’s The Daily Show continues to serve as a farm system for American political comedy.

The newest rookie is Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, which will debut on Netflix this Sunday, October 28.

Patriot Act promises to look at today’s politics and culture “with depth and sincerity,” offering Minhaj’s perspective as the first Indian-American host of a weekly comedy show.

Minhaj, Jon Stewart’s last hire, was a Daily Show correspondent from 2014 until this year. Netflix has ordered 32 episodes of his show, with a new installment dropping every Sunday.

Another Daily Show alum, John Oliver, has had a Sunday political comedy series, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, on HBO since 2014. Other correspondents, including Larry Wilmore and Jordan Klepper, hosted political comedy programs with limited runs, although another weekly Klepper show is planned. Then there’s Daily Show valedictorian Stephen Colbert, who is now enjoying a second solo hit on CBS.

Minhaj also hosted the 2017 White House Correspondents’ Dinner, which you can view here:
