Holiday Joy or Darkness?

You can now celebrate holidays – or fear them – year-round with the launch of The Joy Holiday Channel and Hulu’s Into the Dark.

The Joy Holiday Channel, “streaming happiness 365 days a year,” consists of a website offering not only videos but also recipes and arts-and-crafts ideas, as well as a YouTube channel.

If that’s not quite your cup of eggnog, how about Into the Dark, the monthly horror anthology series debuting today on Hulu?

Each of Into the Dark’s 12 90-minute episodes is inspired by a single holiday. The first two stories, of course, concern Halloween and Thanksgiving.

On today’s “The Body,” a hit man needs to transport a body on Halloween night, but “everyone is enamored by what they think is his killer costume.” Tom Bateman and Rebecca Rittenhouse star.

On “Flesh & Blood,” premiering November 2, a teenager suffering from agoraphobia — and still mourning her murdered mother –fears danger from her father on Thanksgiving eve. Dermot Mulroney and Diana Silvers star.

Into the Dark comes to Hulu from Blumhouse, the production company behind such horror classics as Get Out, The Purge and Paranormal Activity.
