As the Boston Red Sox prepare for their first game in the MLB playoffs on Friday, you can now look back on an obscure piece of Bosox history by streaming The Catcher Was a Spy, a 2018 feature starring Paul Rudd. It’s not a sports movie, though.

Paul Rudd stars in the true story of Moe Berg, a former Red Sox catcher recruited by the US government during World War II to stop the Nazis from developing an atomic bomb by assassinating their chief nuclear scientist.

Mark Strong, Sienna Miller, Jeff Daniels, Guy Pearce and Paul Giamatti co-star.

The Catcher Was a Spy has just launched on YouTube, Amazon, Google Play and other platforms. Rental prices start at $3.99.
