Taxi’s Tony Danza plays former NYPD officer Tony Sr. (“Big Tony”) in The Good Cop, an odd-couple comedic drama debuting on Netflix tomorrow, September 21. The series consists of 10 hour-long episodes.

Big Tony spent several years in prison thanks to his rule-breaking ways. He now lives with his son Tony Jr. (“TJ”), played by Josh Groban. TJ, a by-the-book NYPD detective, does follow procedures as he investigates crimes in Brooklyn. This makes for friction when Big Tony becomes his unofficial partner.

The Good Cop was created and written by Andy Breckman, who previously created Monk.
