Public television’s World Channel will debut the third season of Doc World this Sunday, September 9, with Sky and Ground, the first of three films that follows refugees seeking asylum.

Sky and Ground will premiere over the air at 10 pm and then stream on worldchannel.org, PBS.org and  PBS apps. The film follows an extended Syrian-Kurdish family making their way from Aleppo to a refugee camp on the Greece/Macedonia border.

On Sunday, September 16, Doc World will debut Los Comandos and Towards the North, two films about fleeing gang violence in Latin America: the former about a 16-year-old El Salvador girl, the latter about a Mexican mother and daughter.
