In a small, idyllic seaside town, investigators unravel dirty secrets while investigating a case of missing children.

Haven’t we seen this plot before?

Now, Acorn TV invites you to visit the Tangled Lies of the fictional San Benedetto del Tronto on Italy’s Adriatic Coast, where a single mother’s only daughter and the teenager’s rebellious friend fail to return home from a party.

The series, then titled Scomparsa, ran in 12 episodes on Italy’s RAI last November and December. Acorn TV has launched it as six 90-minute episodes at acorn.tv/tangledlies.

Acorn TV costs $4.99 monthly or $49.99 for a year, with a seven-day free trial. You can stream Acorn online, and on Apple TV, Roku, iOS, Android or Chromecast. For more info, visit acorn.tv.
