Here’s a guide to streaming some of the best of Neil Simon.

Simon, who died Sunday morning at 91, primarily wrote for the theater, receiving three Tony Awards (1965 for The Odd Couple, 1985 for Biloxi Blues, 1991 for Lost in Yonkers) and another 14 nominations.

But he began his career as a TV writer, eventually getting four Emmy nominations, and later wrote for the movies, receiving four Oscar nominations.

Filmstruck subscribers can stream two of those Simon-nominated movies – the 1976 adaptation of his play The Sunshine Boys and his 1978 original The Goodbye Girlfor which he did win a Golden Globe.

For a free 14-day trial to Filmstruck, visit filmstruck.com/us/sign-up. Monthly subscriptions then start at $6.99.

If you don’t subscribe to Filmstruck, you can stream The Sunshine Boys for $3.99 from YouTube or Google Play, and The Goodbye Girl for $2.99 from various providers.

Simon received his two other Oscar nominations for The Odd Couple (1969) and California Suite (1979), both adaptations.

You can stream The Odd Couple for as low as 99 cents from iTunes, or higher from other providers. California Suite costs $3.99 from various providers.

Simon received two of his Emmy nominations for original work on NBC’s Caesar’s Hour (1957 and 1958), and two for adaptations – ABC’s Broadway Bound (1992) and Showtime’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor (2001), the latter inspired by his work on both Caesar’s Hour and Your Show of Shows in the 1950s.

It’s nearly impossible to pin down exactly which sketches Simon wrote for Caesar’s Hour, but here’s a trailer for Broadway Bound and a scene from Laughter on the 23rd Floor. Neither are available for streaming.

TV viewers, however, undoubtedly know Simon best for the adaptations (by others) of The Odd Couple. The most famous ran on ABC from 1970 to 1975, starring Tony Randall and Jack Klugman. You can stream episodes from all five seasons on Hulu or CBS All Access.
