Xumo Adds Six Channels

Free, ad-supported streamer Xumo said it will add six channels to its lineup, covering sports, lifestyle and kids/family.

Eleven Sports, running 24/7 on channel 732, will focus on “emerging and mainstream sports content that is not currently readily available.”

ATTN:, offering “entertainment that informs,” will include such on-demand series as Your Food’s Roots with Zooey Deschanel and Health Hacks with Jessica Alba.

The Mr Bean and Friends channel will feature 12 kids shows, including Mr. Bean – The Animated Series and Tracey McBean. The Puddle Jumper channel includes such shows as Puddle Jumper, Bananas in Pyjamas and The Adventures of Bottle Top Bill. Both channels come from Endemol Shine Group.

Two other kids channels are upcoming, from Genius Brands International: Kid Genius Cartoon Channel and Baby Genius TV. The former will includes such shows as Warren Buffett’s Secret Millionaires Club and Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab. The latter will include Baby Genius, Rainbow Valley Fire Department and Animal Mechanicals.

Xumo now offers over 140 channels categorized into 12 “genres,” including entertainment (e.g., Buzzfeed, Cheddar, PBS Digital Studios, People TV), news (e.g., Bloomberg Politics, CBSN, MSNBC), lifestyle (e.g., Cooking Light, bon appétit), fashion (e.g., Glamour, Vogue), comedy (e.g., Funny or Die, The Onion) and sports (e.g., Field & Stream, Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated).

The service, which offers both 24-hour channels and on-demand content, is accessible without a subscription. Xumo is viewable online at Xumo.TV, as well as via smart TVs and Roku. You can also stream Xumo via iOS devices.
