Trumpeter Botti on PBS

This Saturday, August 18, PBS will debut The Chris Botti Band In Concert as part of its Great Performances series (check your local listings for exact days/times in your area).

The Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and his band will be joined by vocalists Sy Smith and Veronica Swift, violinist Caroline Campbell and organist Joey DeFrancesco.

Botti’s band includes pianist Taylor Eigsti, guitarist Leonardo Amuedo, bassist Reggie Hamilton, keyboardist Rachel Eckroth and drummer Lee Pearson.

The program will feature the following standards:

  • “Cinema Paradiso” and “Emmanuel” with Caroline Campbell
  • “The Very Thought of You,” “The Look of Love” and “Let’s Stay Together” with Sy Smith
  • “Hallelujah” and “Venice” with Leonardo Amuedo
  • “Embraceable You” with Veronica Swift
  • “You Don’t Know What Love Is” with Joey DeFrancesco
  • “Blue in Green”
  • “When I Fall in Love”
  • “For All We Know”
  • “Regroovable”
