‘Jailers’ and Prisoners

The Brazilian series Jailers (Carcereiros in Portuguese) comes to pay streamer Sundance Now tomorrow, July 12.

The show, focusing on how workplace tensions affect the personal relationships of one particular jailer, premiered earlier this year on Brazil’s Globo channel.

Jailers’ first season consists of either 13 half-hour episodes (per iMDB) or 12 episodes (per Wikipedia), depending on whether episode 11 is run in its original hour form or broken up into two half-hours. In either case, Sundance Now will launch all episodes at once tomorrow for binge-viewing.

If you’d rather see a prison from the prisoners’ point of view, the sixth season of Orange is the New Black debuts on Netflix July 27 with 13 hour-long episodes. Here’s the just-released season six trailer:
