Aussie Rugby & Football

American fans of Australia’s National Rugby League and the Australian Football League can now stream all games live – or on demand — via two subscription streaming services from Fox Sports: Watch NRL and Watch AFL.

Watch NRL

The new rugby service includes matches from the current Telstra Premiership season, the finals series and the Grand Final (Sunday, September 30). Subscribers will also get – and hopefully understand – the following:

  • “Three State of Origin matches”;
  • “Australian men and women’s Tests played on local soil along”;
  • “Games from the Intrust NSW and QLD state competitions”;
  • “The upcoming World Club Challenge”;
  • “The anticipated Cam Smith and Johnathan Thurston Testimonial Match”;
  • “The traditional Charity Shield and Rugby League’s night of nights”;
  • “The Dally Ms.”

And, if that isn’t enough, Watch NRL subscribers also get access to Fox League, Australia’s own 24/7 Rugby League subscription streaming service, which includes such shows as NRL 360, The Late Show with Matty Johns and League Life.

Watch AFL

Now in its second year, this streamer for Australian Rules football – or footy, as it’s called down under – includes all games of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season, the finals series and the Grand Final (Saturday, September 29).

Watch AFL subscribers also get access to Fox Footy, Australia’s own 24/7 AFL subscription streaming services, whose shows include AFL 360, Bounce, Open Mike and On the Couch.

How to Access

The two services are available separately at the same pricing levels: $17 weekly, $28 monthly or $149 annually. Visit or for more info or to subscribe.

In addition to the web, both services are available via iOS, Android, Airplay and Chromecast, with an Apple TV app for Watch AFL promised soon.
