‘Throwing Stones’ & More

ON Channel, which offers a free 24/7 channel as well as a subscription video-on-demand service, has added the teen horror web series Throwing Stones to its schedule. You can see it free weekdays at 3 pm ET, starting with four episodes today at theonchannel.com/playout.

Throwing Stones, consisting of two eight-episode seasons, was produced in 2011 and 2012. It “tells the story of a group of kids stuck together for Saturday school when the unimaginable happens…one by one they begin to disappear. Something or someone is out to get them and it’s all they can do to survive.”

The series is also available, three episodes at a time, via ON Channel’s subscription service, which costs $3.99 a month after a seven-day free trial.

You can also watch Throwing Stones free on its own YouTube channel. Here’s episode one:

Ok, that’s enough Throwing Stones. What else does ON Channel offer?

Today’s free 24/7 schedule includes morning lifestyle shows including Every Day Woman, Queen City Fame, Bondage, Brothahood, VPN Presents Lovers Lane. The afternoon features kids shows like Get Live Radio Video Show, TSO Teens Speak Out and Throwing Stones. Then there are the primetime scripted series About Us, involving a group of friends, followed by The Back Pages, a sci-fi anthology, and a “Sci-Fi Movie Block.”

All these shows are also available on demand to paid subscribers, along with a number of other series and movies. For the latter, ON Channel’s home page currently features four short films — La Temptation, Perceptions, Red Hood: The Fallen and Not Guilty.

ON Channel has also been promoting a new original show, The Kidzone, scheduled to premiere sometime in April. Evoking such shows as The Mickey Mouse Club, Zoom, and All That!, On Channel says The Kidzone will feature “skits, special guest videos, educational segments, and a look into the lives of the show’s talented cast members.”

You can get more information about ON Channel at theonchannel.com, subscribe to its on demand service at theonchannel.com/user/register, or watch the 24/7 channel free at theonchannel.com/playout.
