What’s better than one Martin?

Comedians Steve Martin and Martin Short, who are on tour across the US, will release a Netflix special later this year.

Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for The Rest of Your Life, recorded at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC, offers musical sketches and conversations about their careers, memorable encounters, and life in show-business and stand-up.

The Netflix special also includes music from Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers and Jeff Babko, a jazz pianist and Jimmy Kimmel Live band member.

Martin (Steve, that is) is also a renowned banjo player who has toured with the Steep Canyon Rangers. Here they are on NPR:

Martin & Martin were among the luminaries honoring David Letterman when he received the 2017 Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at the Kennedy Center last fall.

Below the two, at their show-business-mocking best, salute Dave:

You can stream the entire Mark Twain program, which aired originally on PBS, with a PBS Passport (a perk offered to PBS members).

Marcus Raboy directed Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for The Rest of Your Life. Steve Martin, Martin Short, Lorne Michaels, Erin David and Marc Gurvitz served as executive producers.

The two comedians first worked together more than 30 years ago when they starred, along with Chevy Chase, in The Three Amigos (which you can rent for $3.99 from Amazon and other providers.)

To catch the comedians in person, visit SteveMartin.com for the tour schedule.
