‘Coach Snoop’

The Snoop Dogg brand continues to expand.

In addition to a career as a rapper and movie actor, last fall he bowed as host of Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker’s Wild on TBS.

And now audiences get to learn about his role in youth sports.

Coach Snoop, an eight-episode Netflix reality show, follows the rapper as he coaches teenagers in the Snoop Youth Football League. The series promises “an intimate look at Snoop and the players as they chase a championship and deal with adversity off the field.”

The Snoop Youth Football League’s inaugural season was fall of 2005, with more than 1,300 kids in the Los Angeles area participating.

The show debuts on Netflix this Friday, February 2.
