Wrestling’s ‘A-Teams’

For fans of classic wrestling, it might not get any better than this: a free 13-hour marathon of action ranging from Andre the Giant, Gorgeous George and the original GLOW gals, to comic Andy Kaufman battling Jerry “The King” Lawler.

“The A-Teams of Classic Wrestling” marathon starts tomorrow, January 30, at 2 pm ET over Shout Factory TV’s Twitch channel, available at twitch.tv/shoutfactorytv or right here:

The marathon includes the following documentaries:

Blood, Sweat & Bruises, action from the Universal Wrestling Federation (UWF) of the 1990s, including Cactus Jack and Andre the Giant (90 minutes);

Brawlin’ Beauties GLOW, focusing on the pro women wrestlers of the 1980s who inspired the current Netflix series (90 minutes);

Brawlin’ Beauties 2, which goes even further back into the roots of women’s wrestling (one hour);

Lone Star Shootout, a look back at Southwest Championship Wrestling of the’ 70s and ’80s, including Kaufman-Lawler  (90 minutes);

The Glory Days of Wrestling, with matches from pro wrestling’s first TV golden age in the 1950s, including Dick the Bruiser, “Haystack” Calhoun and Gorgeous George. (two hours).
