‘Step Sisters’ Friday

Netflix will debut the movie Step Sisters, a comedy about college sororities and a dance competition, this Friday, January 19.

Megalyn Echikunwoke is Jamilah Bishop, a big woman on campus who is getting ready for Harvard Law School. She is then asked “to teach a misbehaving, mostly white sorority how to step,” a seemingly hopeless task. “Without telling her own sorority sisters, Jamilah begins training rivals Sigma Beta Beta (SBB) for the ‘Steptacular’ competitive dance competition.”

Step Sisters also stars Matt McGorry, Naturi Naughton, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Marque Richardson, Eden Sher, Lyndon Smith, Gage Golightly, Nia Jervier and Alessandra Torresani.

Drumline’s Charles Stone III directed. Dear White People’s Chuck Hayward wrote the film and was an executive producer.
