Now that Alabama’s won the national college football championship, it’s time for the American Football Coaches (AFCA) Awards Show! The event will stream live today, January 9, at 8 pm ET on USA Today.com and Facebook.

The awards, from Charlotte, NC, will include the naming of the FBS Coach of the Year and numerous other honors for coaches from all NCAA divisions as well as the NAIA. The AFCA’s highest honor will be presented to former Marshall coach Jack Lengyel, who was portrayed by Matthew McConaughey in the 2006 film We Are Marshall.

Broadcaster Bonnie Bernstein will host the awards show with Rick Neuheisel, former UCLA coach and quarterback.

USA Today said that 8,000 coaches and former coaches will attend, so football fans may also want to tune in a couple of hours earlier, at 6 pm, to see them all arrive during the event’s 90-minute “green carpet” show. USA Today’s Trysta Krick, Adam Woodard and George Schroeder will host.
