CannaNet Takes Flight

CannaNet.TV, a free pot-centered streaming service, launched yesterday with “an eclectic, on-demand mix of movies, videos and music titles.”

The press announcement did not provide specifics on that content, so we visited CannaNet.TV to investigate.

The home page features eight categories of video content, much of which has nothing specifically to do with marijuana, but which might best be watched stoned:

Action (Jurassic Prey, Gila!, Trucker’s Woman)

Horror (including President Wolfman, Secret Santa, Terror Of Dracula)

Documentary (including High Times videos and bios on such music icons as Michael Jackson and Jimi Hendrix)

Comedy (Harry Knuckles and the Pearl Necklace, Heavy Metal Comedy, Stoner Party 4 Movie Collection)

‘Assassin of Youth’ (1937), which leads off the ‘Stoner Party 4 Movie Collection’

Cult (Showgirls 2: Penny’s From Heaven, Reefer Madness (2016 Release), Vamp Vixens: Vamp Bangers Go Wild!)

Music (Spectrum Reggae Vol. 1, Live At Reggae Rising, Peace Love & Unity)

Martial Arts (Deadly Art Of Survival, A Warrior’s Journey, Kung Fu Grindhouse Theatre)

Investment (panels from the recent MJAC International Cannabis Conference).

We were perhaps most excited to find a Night Flight tab atop the page. This connected us directly to, the current iteration of the 1980s’ USA Network late-night youth culture smorgasboard show. The site is chock full of hundreds of video selections in 39 categories – from original episodes of not only Night Flight but also The Dr. Ruth Show and Dynaman… to spaghetti westerns and ‘80s anime…and of course lots and lots of music-related fare. Unlike itself, however, Night Flight Plus is a subscription service, costing $4.99 monthly or $39.99 annually. For more info, or to sign up, visit The service is also available via Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Chromecast.

CannaNet.TV also offers audio content, including a radio station and a CannabisTalkpotcast.”

Other start-up marijuana-based streaming services include the lifestyle-focused Weed TV, Cannabis Club TV and, which promotes cannabis legalization.
