More Momoa

Jason Momoa, known for fantastical turns as Game of Thrones‘ Khal Drogo and DC Comics’ Aquaman, returns today for a second season of the historically grounded Netflix drama series Frontier.

Momoa is Declan Harp, a part-Irish, part-Native American outlaw who takes on an unforgiving landscape – the Canadian wilderness – and a relentless adversary in the form of the Hudson Bay Company. The Hudson Bay Company monopolized the country’s fur trade during the 1700s.

In season two, “Fort James is left in chaos after Michael Smyth (Landon Liboiron), Sokanon (Jessica Matten), and Grace Emberly (Zoe Boyle) detonate a munitions magazine, leaving Declan Harp (Jason Momoa) to slip through the hangman’s noose.”

Meanwhile, “the Black Wolf Company is fractured, and no one knows if Harp survived or not… but Lord Benton (Alun Armstrong) is not taking any chances; he offers a dead-or-alive bounty for Harp.”

Netflix and Canada’s Discovery Channel co-produced the series.

Both six-episode seasons are available to binge from Netflix.  Netflix is also planning a third season.
