Going to ‘Extra Innings’

Bill Murray & Brian Doyle-Murray’s Extra Innings, a 10-episode look at the world of minor league baseball from the funny siblings, will premiere Monday, November 20, on Facebook.

Naturally, Bill, who is a part-owner of the St. Paul Saints, visits his team with brother Brian. The two also travel to have fun with the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks, Charleston RiverDogs and Kansas City T-Bones. Additionally, during the latter visit, they spend time at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum.

Bill Murray describes the series as “a little something to fill a baseball fan’s off-season hole in the heart.” He’s also an executive producer of Extra Innings, along with Brian and Dub Cornett, founder of Oso Studios and co-creator of Cinemax’s Mike Judge Presents: Tales From the Tour Bus.

And there’s another “extra” in Extra Innings: Bill, whose current classical music album New Worlds has topped the Billboard charts, sings the show’s theme song, “The Thing About Baseball”! It was co-written with Brian and Paul Shaffer, the former Late Show with David Letterman bandleader.

New Extra Innings episodes will debut each Monday through January 22. To stream, you can add Extra Winnings to your Facebook Watch list by following the Bill Murray & Brian Doyle-Murray’s Extra Innings Show page.
