Netflix debuts this week include a stand-up comedy special with Patton Oswalt and an action flick with Frank Grillo.

On Tuesday, October 17, Patton Oswalt: Annihilation will offer a “deeply personal and powerful stand-up special” covering the last year of the comedian’s life. Filmed at Chicago’s Athenaeum Theatre, Oswalt discusses the sudden passing of his wife in April 2016, and how humor helped him work “through the pain and grief.”

Oswalt also delves into other contemporary topics such as “the angst of social media, the current political climate and being tricked by robocalls.”

Oswalt nabbed an Emmy in 2016 for another Netflix special — Patton Oswalt: Talking for Clapping.

And then for something completely different …

On Friday, October 20, Captain America: Civil War’s Frank Grillo stars as the eponymous character in the action film Wheelman. Grillo is “a getaway driver thrust into a high stakes race-to-survive after a bank robbery goes terribly wrong. With a car full of money and his family on the line, the clock is ticking to figure out who double-crossed him and the only person he can trust… his 13-year-old daughter.”

Wheelman is written and directed by Jeremy Rush.
