“It’s not easy butchering people. It’s hard work.”

Those are the reflections of one serial killer in the new psycho-crime drama series, Mindhunter, debuting this Friday, October 13, on Netflix.

Broadway actor Jonathan Groff, who also appeared in the Starz series Boss, plays Holden Ford, and Blue Bloods’ Holt McCallany is Bill Tench. The FBI agents are part of an elite unit dedicated to tracking and capturing serial killers and rapists. A la dramas like Silence of the Lambs, the agents’ work involves “delving into the psychology of murder,” bringing them “uneasily close to all-too-real monsters.”

The cast also includes Fringe’s Anna Torv as Wendy, The Americans’ Cotter Smith as Shepard and Platonic’s Sonny Valicenti as Dennis Rader.
