UN Peace Day Broadcast

Tired of warmongering? Let’s celebrate tomorrow’s United Nations Peace Day with 24 hours of peace messages and music. Starting at 12:01 ET tonight, the stream will include videos from Katy Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio, Shakira, Pharrell Williams, Michael Douglas, Ringo Starr, Jane Goodall, and many more.

You can see the broadcast all day Thursday, September 21, at peacechannel.com or un.org/en/events/peaceday/resources.

From last year’s Peace Day, here’s Ringo Starr’s “Now The Time Has Come,” with verses sung by Richard Page, Colin Hay and Billy Valentine, and backing vocals from social media stars Christian Collins, Maddi Jane, Casey McPherson, James Maslow and Wesley Stromberg:

In its ninth year, the Peace Day broadcast is produced by the Unity Foundation in partnership with Peace Channel, and includes content produced by the United Nations and its agencies.
