‘Third Rail with OZY’

Third Rail with OZY, a half-hour debate program, premieres tomorrow night, September 8, at 8:30 pm ET over the air on PBS stations and streaming on OZY.com. Running for the next seven Fridays and hosted by OZY editor-in-chief Carlos Watson, each episode will feature “a single, provocative question” debated by experts and celebrity guests. The first question: “Is Truth Overrated?”

Debaters during the seven weeks will include season restauranteur and Viceland contributor Eddie Huang; author and Wharton professor Adam Grant; businessman Mark Cuban; political advocate Grover Norquist; journalist Gretchen Carlson; writer and Purdue associate professor Roxane Gay; and humorist/TV correspondent Mo Rocca.

The show said that online and social media voting will be used to assess the outcomes of each week’s debate, and that viewpoints posted on Facebook, Twitter and PBS.org “will be integrated and displayed as part of the program.”
