This year’s Emmy Awards – the 69th – will offer an extensive menu of pre- and post-ceremony programming for fans to watch online.

The Sunday, September 17, awards broadcast, hosted by Stephen Colbert, will start at 8 pm ET on CBS.

The streaming, however, begins at 6 pm ET when People and Entertainment Weekly host a two-hour pre-show, People & EW Red Carpet Live. People Now’s Jeremy Parsons and Andrea Boehlke will helm from New York, while People Deputy Editor JD Heyman and Lola Ogunnaike, host of Entertainment Weekly: The Show, will offer additional coverage from the Emmys red carpet in Los Angeles.

You can view the Emmys pre-show on the PeopleTV free app,,,, and The pre-show’s hosts and correspondents will also post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat using the hashtag #EmmysLive.

For those wanting behind-the-scenes action, Backstage Live! will stream during the ceremony on and Facebook. Backstage Live! will feature Green Room access; a “thank you cam” as winners give additional comments offstage; an “interview cam” featuring host Marc Istook sharing fan reactions with the winners; and the “Emmy photo lounge.” All Backstage Live! content will be available for repeat viewing on

IMDb special correspondent Dave Karger will then host a one-hour post-ceremony show, IMDb Live, kicking off at 11 pm ET.  The program will include interviews, expert analysis, social media fan Q&As, red carpet arrival replays, and a “unique look at Emmy winners as their statuettes are personalized at the Governors Ball Winner’s Circle.”

But the celebration doesn’t end there.

The following evening, September 18, starting at 10 pm ET, QVC’s Shawn Killinger will host a two-hour event, including interviews with fashion and beauty celebrities about “Hollywood’s hottest trends from red carpet to real life.” That coverage will be available on,  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
