Netflix in Shondaland

Shondaland, the production company headed by Shonda Rhimes, will bring its future projects to Netflix under a deal announced this morning. The move doesn’t affect Shondaland’s powerhouse ABC Thursday night lineup of the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, political thriller Scandal and crime-driven How to Get Away with Murder.

Wondering where you can binge-watch any of those hits from the beginning? On Netflix, of course! Netflix subscribers can indulge in all 13 seasons of Grey’s Anatomy, six seasons of Scandaland three seasons of How to Get Away with Murder.

Only Hulu subscribers, however, can stream all six seasons of the 2007-2013 Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Private Practice.

Timing for new Shondaland projects on Netflix wasn’t announced. The move also doesn’t affect two programs already in development for ABC — For The People, set to premiere this season, and another still-untitled Grey’s Anatomy spinoff.

The latest seasons of Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder will premiere on ABC September 28, with Scandal returning the following week. Now, let’s go back to 2005 for a scene from the very first episode of Shondaland’s biggest hit:
