A Funny Telenovela

What happens in Las Vega’s will be on Estrella TV starting Tuesday, August 1.

The apostrophe in the show title is no typo, since this hour-long, Spanish-language sitcom telenovela is not about the glitzy Nevada city, but about a family named Vega Diaz. There’s glitz aplenty nonetheless, since the family — a newly widowed wife and three daughters – end up running a “Full Monty”-type entertainment club for women. The club’s named “Las Vega’s.”

Consisting of 80 episodes, Las Vega’s comes to Estrella from Columbia’s RCN Television, which produced the original version of ABC’s Ugly Betty (Yo Soy Betty). Natalia Ramirez (left), who played Betty, also stars in Las Vega’s

Estrella TV will air Las Vega’s weekdays at 6 pm starting August 1. To find your local Estrella TV channel, visit RabbitEars.
