Poker Joker

SNL alum Chris Parnell stars in a six-episode comedy series, Poker Nights, to premiere on PokerGo later this summer.

Each short-form episode will center on a weekly poker game and the “’best-ish’ friends and oddball guests” who drop by. In addition to Parnell, the cast includes comedians Dan Chamberlain, Wes Haney, Richie Moriarty, Emily Tarver and Neko White, with special guest appearances by professional poker players, including “Poker Brat” Phil Hellmuth.

The series is co-produced by PokerGo’s parent, Poker Central, and Believe Entertainment Group.

Poker Nights sheds a light on some of the less impressive players the sport has to offer,” said Brian Hunt, president and head of development at Believe Studios.

The Poker Central/Believe partnership also calls for “the creation of 200 pieces of short-form video across a wide variety of formats including sketches, animation, how-tos, lists, and more – all showcasing the world of poker and the lifestyle surrounding it.”

PokerGo, which launched recently, costs $10 a month or $99 for a year. It can be accessed at and via a range of mobile and connected devices.
