You can’t keep a good Dynasty down! A rebooted version of the ‘80s primetime soap will premiere this fall on The CW, with reruns of the original series returning August 1 on CW Seed.

In the reboot, Grant Show (Melrose Place) takes the role of energy tycoon Blake Carrington, originally played as an oilman by John Forsythe. Nathalie Kelley (UnReal, The Vampire Diaries) is his soon-to-be bride Cristal, played as Krystle by Linda Evans in the original. Elizabeth Gillies (Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll) takes on the Pamela Sue Martin role of Blake’s scheming daughter Fallon. And James Mackay (The Leftovers) plays Steven, originally portrayed by Al Corley.

All 220 episodes of the original Dynasty will be available on CW Seed, The CW’s free on-demand streaming service, starting Tuesday, August 1. Just go to www.cwseed.com.

The Dynasty reboot will air Wednesdays at 9 pm on The CW, which happens to be the exact timeslot where the original series aired most. Premiere date has yet to be announced. As with all CW shows, you’ll be able to stream the new Dynasty free – without needing a cable, satellite or telco TV subscription — the following day on www.cwtv.com or via CW apps.
